Fig Newton

Originally from Amesbury, MA, Fig is a Grand Prix Schoolmaster who competed at the highest level in Dressage, winning several Gold and Silver medals.
Now retired from the show ring, Fig brings his strong leadership skills and fun-loving sense of humor to HERD Foundation, helping our clients develop confidence and self-empowerment.
Miss America

Miss America was quite the jumper years ago and was so talented that she is in the Kentucky Horse Museum Hall of Fame. Miss America, currently 33 years of age, keeps a watchful eye over the rest of the herd, and is known for her wisdom and intuition. Miss America has, and continues to help numerous clients learn about connection and clear communication through her work in the program.
Satillo River

A retired racehorse, Satillo River, lived a very adventurous life! He enjoyed being a hunter jumper, fox hunting, and an all-around rockstar at Pine Creek Sporting Lodge in Okeechobee, Florida. Recently, he has been reunited with his family and enjoys being part of the HERD. Satillo touched the hearts of many and is greatly missed by both his horse and human herd.
At HERD Foundation, each horse plays an important role in the work we do. Horses are incredibly aware of their environment and of the people around them. Their presence, personalities, and natural instincts help guide many of the lessons participants experience on the farm.
Every member of the herd offers something unique.
