Wounded Warrior Project Program

HERD Foundation supports wounded warriors through equine-assisted services that foster resilience, confidence, and emotional well-being.

About the program:

10-Week Program

This program serves post-9/11 Veterans through a 10-week equine-assisted program focused on connection, communication, and community.

Participants engage in horsemanship activities that support:

  • Emotional regulation

  • Trust and relationship building

  • Confidence

  • Connection with other veterans

The horses help create a space where Veterans can slow down, reconnect, and experience belonging within the herd.

If you're a post-9/11 Veteran, active-duty service member, family member, or a key part of their support system, you may be eligible to register with WWP. When you join, you become part of a supportive community of people who are like you, understand you, and are there for you.
